The Creekside Grille Restaurant Review:
The Creekside Grille leads a double life --- partly in a festive al fresco setting amid the sprawling property’s gardens and vines, and the more upscale, air-conditioned barrel room, which is a welcome respite from the heat, especially in summer. Servers are well schooled in the menu offerings and enthusiastic about the Wilson Creek wines served here. For starters, the fried burrata is a more decadent take on classic fried cheese and is paired with a hearty house-made marinara sauce. For something a little lighter, the vineyard salad’s fresh ingredients are a nice interplay of organic greens, candied pecans, blue cheese and yellow raisins in vanilla balsamic vinaigrette. Among the “family favorites” section of the menu, try Libby’s jalapeño and lime shrimp ceviche. The flavors are bold and refreshing, with just the right amount of spice, and the chili-fried lotus root adds crisp texture. All desserts are made on site, like the lemon Stilton cheesecake and the goat cheese crème brûlée. Sunday brunch offers a prix-fixe buffet, with an unlimited sparkling wine option.
