THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Crystal Cafe Restaurant Review:
Originally owned by Macedonian chef Klime Kovaceski, this contemporary restaurant remains popular under today's proprietors, Sal Dicembino and wife Maria José. The dining room retains its homey charm and the menu still boasts some of Kovaceski's beloved dishes, including crackling duck à l'orange, chicken Kiev bursting with goat cheese and seafood osso buco. But servings have been downsized while prices have been upgraded. The Sicilian-born Dicembino has also added lasagna, shrimp Parmigiana and langoustines grilled with garlic and olive oil. Sweets might not enhance the dining experience, but they also don't overly detract.
