Daisy Mint Restaurant Review:
In an endearing little storefront that feels more like a French bistro than an Asian restaurant is Daisy Mint, with walls lined with antique mirrors and a prominent crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. One can begin with a Thai-inspired steak salad with spicy lime dressing or Vietnamese-style peanut dumplings wrapped in lettuce. Asian salads, noodles and Thai rice dishes abound. Korean rib-eye with kimchi, and the red pineapple curry with duck consistently satisfy. House specialties feature orange roughy with ginger and broiled salmon steak with a creamy cilantro sauce. Panang curry, a classic Thai selection with Indian influences, is rich and creamy, and this version includes tender chunks of pumpkin. For dessert, the vegetable reappears in pumpkin custard served in a hollowed-out, quartered pumpkin.
