Delancey Restaurant Review:
Delancey features a selection of thin-crust pizzas with New York-inspired names, such as the Bleecker topped with leeks, bacon and Parmesan; and the La Guardia made with mozzarella, truffle, sage and pancetta. Interesting bruschetta (e.g. prosciutto, dates, goat cheese and balsamic) and some creative house-made pasta dishes (gnocchi with wild boar; cavatelli with lamb ragoût) also appear on the well-priced menu. Vegetarian selections include broccolini with golden raisins and roasted chili oil, roasted cauliflower with mint and breadcrumbs, and arugula salad. To drink, find 20 craft beers on tap, reasonably priced wines and a full bar. With its arched brick walls, tin stamped ceiling with vintage lighting, and prominent bar, this hip but generally unpretentious place has an appealing East Coast vibe. Everyone from tourists to struggling screenwriters to celebs seems to appreciate this slice of the Big Apple.
