Believe it or not, for a mini-chain eatery, this sleek, polished-clean take-out/eat-in place offers some real favorites, at least for those living in or near the South. Try the tenderjacks (crispy chicken tenders) with waffles or the Cajun shrimp and cheesy grits. You can even pick up a Southern fried chicken sandwich or a Maryland crab cake sandwich. But the balance of the menu, from breakfast and brunch dishes through the surprisingly thorough wine and beer selections --- even some Belgian brews --- should make this enterprising restaurant a new go-to on your list. The best part is that meal costs are truly affordable.
