THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED DiNardo’s Famous Crabs Restaurant Review:
If picking crabs is your idea of nirvana, head over to DiNardo’s Famous Crabs, a family-owned, Philly tradition for more than 35 years. Serving some of the best hard shells this side of Baltimore --- proffered hot 'n dirty or sautéed in lots of garlic --- this kid-friendly seafooder offers all-you-can-eat crabs every Monday. DiNardo’s clams, oysters and shrimp, swabbed in a special vinegar dip, are addictive. Even the french fries, crispy and dusted with seafood spice, are worth mentioning. End on a sweet note with Key lime pie. The historic building, circa 1740, redone in pine paneling and cozy banquettes, was once a stop on the Underground Railroad. Eating in the rear room, with its view of the courtyard, is almost like dining outdoors.
