Diya Bistro Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: As the reopening of the popular Virginia restaurant Diya near Tysons Corner, this newer, smaller spot captures all the Indian flair in a different venue.
Likes: Indian food.
Dislikes: Hard to find setting.
Food & Drinks: The extensive menu includes vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers and entrées, and a small section devoted solely to two Punjabi dishes. The best bet is to strike while the cooking iron is hot: a buffet lunch. Spread out on a lavishly set table are all the best bets of the day, from the butter chicken and lamb vindaloo (hot) to dal makhani, samosas and kebabs. Be sure to ask for a side order of the well-prepared bread and snap up the kulfi falooda, Indian ice cream served on rice noodles and flavored with rosewater. Assorted drinks are available. The experience is a subcontinental treat in the middle of the ’burbs.
