THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Doneraki Restaurant Review:
Doneraki is a fun place with its nightly live music, year-round Christmas lights and colorful paper decorations. But don't bring a romantic date, as it can get quite noisy. It requires concentration to review the huge menu, which includes everything from a simple taco dinner to Mexican specialties like a tender breaded and fried steak or marinated quail with garlic sauce, and traditional chile relleno stuffed with cheese, chicken or beef. But regulars usually come back for just a few favorites, namely the tacos al carbon del trompo and the chips and queso. Service can be hit-and-miss, and the margaritas have slipped in quality over the years, but at $1.99 on Mondays and Tuesdays you really can’t beat them. If the little ones can stand the noisy mariachis and DJ’s, bring them along on those days because kids eat for free.
