Dorado Restaurant Review:
At a taqueria named after a fish, one would expect the fish tacos to be outstanding. Alas, at this diminutive Mexican spot two blocks from Union Square that is not the case. The Baja-style tacos (think battered and fried whitefish) were disappointing; the exterior lacked the crispiness it should have had and the interior was underwhelming. Turf selections are adequate --- the chorizo comes with a nice dollop of guacamole --- but nothing to proclaim that great Mexican food can finally be found in the Big Apple. For non-taco eaters, there are also quesadillas and salads on the menu.
