Dorn's Original Breakers Cafe Restaurant Review:

To be filed under “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” Dorn's has been a local favorite since 1942, and very little has changed over the years. The dark wood and white linens suggest old San Francisco, and the old-school menu still lists Hangtown fry omelets and eggs Sardou, crab Louie salad and a sardine sandwich, a calamari steak and all the requisite fried seafood and chips. That said, the place offers a great view of Morro Rock (especially from the outdoor tables in back), the service is small-town friendly, and you get freshly baked sourdough at every table. Among the house-made desserts are cheesecakes and a classic carrot cake, and the full bar serves up an archetypal seaside Bloody Mary with celery and an olive, period.
