Dreamland Bar-B-Que Restaurant Review:

Franchised out from the original Dreamland, the spiffier Dreamland branches offer more side dishes than does the founding location in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. At the Atlanta outposts --- there are two --- the seasoning on the meat seems to rely on salt, but the smoking is done correctly, leaving the meat tender but just a bit resistant to the bite (the vinegar-tangy sauce balances out the saltiness). Crisp coleslaw partners well with the 'cue, and here, respectable accompaniments include baked beans and, for dessert, banana puddin'. Beer is the only alcohol served, but there's plenty of good iced tea. Also located at 3455 W. Lawrenceville St., Duluth, 770-366-7427.
