Dukem Ethiopian Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Dukem is somewhat of a long-hidden gem of the U Street corridor, offering an extensive and diverse menu with plenty of unusual specials. We like the various lamb dishes and there is doro wot (chicken stew) and goden tibs (beef short ribs), plus vegetarian and fish and vegetable combinations. If you time it right, you can catch the nightly live Ethiopian music. Best of all, if you’re inclined to cook this cuisine, Dukem rewards you with an adjacent grocery to stock up on all the spices, injera, oils and charcoal you might need.
