Duke's Chowder House Lake Union Restaurant Review:

Skip the upscale dining establishments on Lake Union, but enjoy the same waterfront view from Duke’s Chowder House. The menu is more affordable than those of its high-end neighbors, which generally means more predictable seafood dishes. One of six restaurants in the area under the Duke's banner, this spot and the others are best known for five signature chowders --- classic New England, Dungeness crab and bourbon, lobster, Cajun chicken and corn, and Northwest seafood --- along with fish ‘n’ chips. Additional menu favorites include salmon with blueberries and goat cheese, macadamia-crusted halibut and blackened cod tacos. Non-seafood diners will find a good selection of burgers and sandwiches. Desserts range from freshly baked chocolate chip cookies to warm marionberry pie. A full bar offers libations for every thirst. From the downtown Westlake area, ride the South Lake Union streetcar to a stop right across from Duke's.
