Effie's Restaurant Review:

Squeeze through the cramped front room of Effie's and find yourself in a setting festooned with vines and featuring a few outdoor tables. It all feels very much like a taverna in Greece. Bring a bottle of something crisp and dry to complement the consistently fresh, traditional fare. From the appetizer selections, consider the Thessaloniki platter that includes meletzanosalata and tzatziki to be scooped up with warm pita bread, or the meze that has all that plus souvlaki and spinach pie. Follow with baked tilapia with kalamata olives, or hearty lamb moussaka. We also suggest the baby lamb chops. Have the rice pudding for dessert, unless your sweet tooth yearns for baklava dripping with honey.
