El Circulo del Sureste Restaurant Review:
A tradition for over sixty years, El Círculo del Sureste is the best restaurant in Mexico City to eat cuisine from the Yucatán region in the country’s southeastern tip. While the place is not particularly prepossessing---indeed, the fountain in its entryway will make you think you’re entering an airport bar---the food is notable. Among the standout dishes are sopa de lima (a lime-flavored chicken soup with crispy tortilla strips), cochinita pibil (shredded pork in an orange sauce flavored with annato), panuchos (tacos stuffed with refried beans and topped with turkey, pork or shark), and papadzules (chopped hard boiled eggs rolled in tortillas, fried and smothered in a rich pumpkin sauce).
