Elliott's Oyster House Restaurant Review:
Seattleites and tourists alike enjoy the waterfront views at Elliott’s on Pier 56. Consistently well-prepared seafood classics have kept patrons coming back for more than 30 years. On sunny days, tables outside can require an hour or more wait. Inside, booths are comfortable and also allow you to watch the waterfront activity. Oyster lovers might turn their back on the view altogether and sidle up to the 21-foot oyster bar. Non-oyster fans may opt for local seafood such as steamed mussels with crispy french fries, or Dungeness crab and rockfish cakes. Freshness and careful preparation are evident in the grilled king salmon, halibut cheeks and creamy chowders, particularly the pink-tinged crab chowder laced with corn, potato and cayenne. Desserts are huge and homey; don't miss the fried chocolate truffle sundae or the Meyer lemon pound cake.
