Elm Street Oyster House Restaurant Review:
This small but bustling seafood restaurant offers nine beers on tap, a selection of six daily-changing oysters, and an extensive list of blackboard specials. Signature dishes from the open kitchen include myriad seafood and fish options prepared in virtually every method and combination. A hearty seafood chili as well as a savory oyster and baby kale stew are worthy non-raw starters. Larger plates include shrimp and scallops over tri-colored ravioli tossed in roasted garlic olive oil, and a saké-glazed king salmon served with brown rice and snow peas. Marinated skirt steak with lime ketchup, garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe provides an alternative to the otherwise seafood-centric menu. There's also an eclectic array of sides, ranging from pico de gallo to rock shrimp home fries. If possible, try to arrive early to secure one of the few white marble-topped tables. If not, plan to spend an hour mingling with the upscale crowd at the wine and beer bar until your table is ready.
