THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED La Vieille Maison Restaurant Review:
Set in a '20s Mediterranean mansion amid lovely gardens and tinkling fountains, the restaurant offers an interior of soothing, soft tones and Provençal accoutrements. We highly recommend the wild mushroom ravioli, a serving of three purses in a scented cream sauce and garnished with baby clams. Sautéed frogs' legs, flavored lightly with garlic and sorrel, arrive on a bed of mushrooms. The signature rack of lamb, pink inside its delicate crust of herbs, is presented with potatoes gratin Dauphinois. Another favorite is the roasted duckling glazed with honey, served with nutty wild rice and a fan of mango spears. Although most regulars insist on the signature chocolate bag filled with white and dark chocolate mousses for dessert, our favorite is the tarte Tatin, a broad slice of skillet-seared, cinnamon-infused apple tart served with ice cream.
