The Irvine location of this small burger chain is open and airy, and it captures a casual side of the city that mirrors the adjacent UC Irvine campus. The exterior is a great place to people-watch, while the interior is home to an inviting, sleek bar that offers a long list of whiskeys. Whatever seat you choose, hunker down and try one of the signature burgers, which feature intriguing ingredients such as bacon-infused jalapeño jam, homemade fig marmalade and shiitake mushroom bone marrow butter. Those who don't want a burger can enjoy a seared shrimp salad with rice noodles or a hearty main like fish 'n chips or teriyaki salmon with mushroom black rice and ginger coleslaw.
