Fatoosh Restaurant Review:
Casual and cozy, Fatoosh offers some of Brooklyn’s best falafel, always wrapped burrito-style in fresh, warm pita bread. The tiny dining area doesn’t feel cramped, perhaps because the floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of the pretty and leafy Brooklyn Heights street scene outside. Fatoosh’s innovative “pitzas” offer sun-dried tomatoes, beef, leeks or marinated chicken on a tender yet crispy pita crust, and the shish kebab, grilled chicken and fish kebab sandwiches shouldn’t be missed. Then there are the salads: couscous, tabbouleh and foole (fava beans, chopped tomatoes, onions, lemon and garlic) are just a few of the freshly made options. Desserts include the ubiquitous baklava and honey-soaked lady fingers.
