Federal Taphouse Restaurant Review:

Craft beer drinkers crowd wall-to-wall at the counter and banquette, while calmer ground is found at quieter tables flanking the exhibition kitchen. The dining area is tastefully laid out intermingling stacked stone, polished wood and bamboo accents. The craft brews list is lengthy with over 100 selections on tap, while the brief menu features robust, beer-swirling flavors. Signature items include coal-fired wings, a roasted half chicken, whole crisply cooked fish such as branzino with barley salad, short ribs, fresh-cut pommes frites, and a bubbly crusted tartufo pizza topped with earthy truffle shavings, arugula and a swirl of poached egg. Young's Double Chocolate Stout Brownie delivers moist-crumbed chocoholic heaven.
