Felipe's Taqueria Restaurant Review:
On one of the busiest streets in the French Quarter, Felipe's Taqueria offers a unique Mexican dining experience. Waiting in a line that moves pretty quickly, customers design their own meals. First, determine if you want a burrito, tostada, taco, flauta or quesadilla. Then select your meat or filling (chicken, carnitas, carne al pastor, steak, shrimp and more) and complements: guacamole, sour cream, cheese, vegetables, rice, beans and so forth. Once you make your selections, watch the faster-than-lightening cooks make your meal right before your eyes. One room accommodates a big wraparound bar with multiple flat-screens, a good place to watch a game; the other room is loud and festive. Dessert options are limited, but we recommend the fudge brownies. Also located at 6215 S. Miro St., 504-288-8226; and 411-1 N. Carrollton Ave., 504-288-8226.
