Figo Pasta Restaurant Review:
A great place to grab a well-prepared lunch before hitting the ample shopping at this intown center, Figo Pasta offers a comfortable, casual interior with large windows and lots of touches that suggest Italy. Founded in Atlanta by an Italian, Sandro Romagnoli, the chain specializes in freshly made pastas and other menu items drawn from authentic Italian fare. Pastas are served al dente. When you place your order at the counter, you'll choose a pasta and a sauce from a long list of options. We like the onion and mascarpone ravioli with a balsamic glaze, a house special, and for the short rib ravioli we go with the Checca Fiorentina, a topping of chopped fresh tomato, mozzarella, basil, garlic and olive oil. Tuscan-style wild boar sauce complements pappardelle. Check out monthly specials, such as porchetta-stuffed ravioli in cream sauce. Gluten-free and whole-wheat pastas are available. For dessert, try the torta della nonna, a sort of lemon custard crostata, or the tiramisu, in portions sufficient for two. Make the coffee a companion to the dessert. The limited wine selection is serviceable and affordable. Ambience makes Figo Pasta a good choice for budget-conscious dating.
