Fish Market Restaurant Review:
In the heart of Old Town Alexandria, this seafood-based restaurant echoes times past with its brick walls and pressed-tin ceilings. But the kitchen takes modern-day cravings for fresh seafood dishes seriously. After all, its logo reads: Eat fish. Drink beer. Live longer. While you’re waiting for your brew, why not start the meal with a platter of fried and very crispy calamari? You might want to add on the crab dip and some fresh oysters, too. Burgers and other meat-based selections are among the main courses; however, the seafood Cobb salad is a winning lunch entrée, and at dinnertime, consider grilled or fried seafood platters and pastas such as a lobster mac with creamy béchamel. Check out Fish Market's Anchor Bar and ask about drinks suggestions. For dessert, slip next door to the affiliated Pop’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream.
