THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Five Lakes Grill Restaurant Review:
Nestled in the middle of town, this quaint eatery with sophisticated appeal caters to the auto execs who have populated the area. Chef Brian Polcyn strives to bring the freshest ingredients from the Great Lakes region to his tables in the most creative ways, with the emphasis on charcuterie. Try his roast pork loin confit and Josephine’s kielbasa with Granny Smith apple and potato gratin, shallot confit, root vegetables, hard cider reduction and sweet potato hay. Another delight is the roast Indiana duckling, bathed in a red currant sauce and served with wild rice pecan pilaf, cranberry chutney and roasted yam purée. A sommelier will assist you with the appropriate wine. Don't dress up, though, since this storefront restaurant appeals to an upscale-casual crowd. The bar is separated by glass from diners, where sports on the TV overhead seem a bit out of place.
