The Four Horsemen Restaurant Review:
About the restaurant: The Four Horsemen has some serious rock star cred. That’s because it’s owned by LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy. As Williamsburg hipsters sip natural wine in the minimally designed front room, grab a seat at the bar.
About the food: The food menu is designed for snacking: spicy charcuterie is a good complement to a bold Italian red. Continue with ceviche-style options such as yellowfin tuna with yuzu kosho and smoked dulse. For something more substantial, opt for the St. Louis ribs with plum glaze, Wagyu chuck steak with béarnaise or cobia with sweet corn, lobster mushrooms and sherry. For a sweet finish, tuck into a bowl of butterscotch budino. On weekends, a set lunch menu ($28) is served in addition to dinner.
About the wine: The wine list is long and heavy on French labels, but includes some affordable and nice selections from the U.S. and Italy.
