Fans of German food need to know about this place in Ball Ground, although it's a bit of a hike from Atlanta. It's worth the trip, especially if you combine it with a visit to Fainting Goat Winery in nearby Jasper. Some of the owners are from Frankfurt, Germany. We like the hot dogs --- or frankfurters as might be appropriate under the circumstances --- grilled and served on a potato bread roll. Other wursts include brats and myriad sorts one doesn't often find. Good German mustard, too, and devotees of Berlin's favorite street snack curry wurst will find the curry ketchup made on site, along with the sausages and hot dogs. Enjoy a good German pastry afterwards. Take home the smoked pork chops. No alcohol, the only drawback.
