Front End Grille Restaurant Review:
The automobile play on words starts with the name and continues with the menu. An antique-car and truck mural decorates the wall surrounding the red booths and a Sinclair gas pump greets customers. The place is a bit kitschy but the old-time auto motif works. Park it at the counter for breakfast, served all day. The Man Hole cover is your Belgian waffle; the Spark Plug is an herb crêpe wrapped around scrambled eggs, tomatoes, sautéed onions, bell peppers, spinach, mushrooms and cheddar cheese. Traditional diner fare like burgers, a French dip and spaghetti and meatballs will fill you up without stealing all of your gas money. If not for breakfast, locals gravitate to this north Salt Lake spot on Tuesday nights for its Music Café SLC.
