Gioco Restaurant Review:
This Italian restaurant pleases the culinary cognoscenti for the simple reason that the food is admirably imaginative, from the grilled baby calamari and panzanella salad to the roasted branzino on puttanesca sauce. That's the good news. The bad news is that the decibel level at this casual hot-spot will drive you to drink. The veal saltimbocca is first-rate, as are the risottos and pastas, like the spinach-stuffed tortelloni sauced with truffle fondue. Be sure to check out the daily antipasto selection and pizza topped with goat cheese, white truffle oil, wild mushrooms and basil pesto.
