Giovanni's Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria Restaurant Review:
Giovanni's doesn't accept reservations, so if you go on a Friday or Saturday night, expect a long wait (up to an hour). But your patience pays off, with home-cooked Italian in a no-frills setting. Slide into one of the booths and start with a plate heaped with chewy garlic knots or tomato bruschetta. The hefty antipasto is a meal, with rolled Italian meats and cheeses on crisp greens with Giovanni's own vinaigrette. Noisy families share giant pizzas and calzones, regulars go for the chicken Napoletana or the mussels fra diavolo, with wine and ice-cold beer to accompany (there’s also a full bar). Finish with a cannoli or tiramisu for a down-home Italian feast. Mangia!
