Giuseppe’s Cucina Italiana Restaurant Review:
Wood-fired pizzas are always a good choice at this energetic establishment, but definitely give some thought to dishes such as house-made gnocchi Amatriciana, local sand dabs prepared piccata-style, or the orecchiette e braciole. Fresh-baked bread is served with every meal so it’s tough to save room for dessert, but do at least share one or two of the gelati, especially the seasonal flavors. The wine list offers a good range of imports, but it has always heartily supported local labels as well, and the draft beers include Peroni. If you want a quick taste of Giuseppe’s, check out the Express across the street, which offers pizza by-the-slice, sandwiches, pastas and more.
