You can get almost any ethnic cuisine on Castro Street in Mountain View, but for just a little money, you can dine like a king at Godavari. Formerly Sue’s Indian Cuisine, after Sue passed on, her brother took over and changed the name. You still get good food here---look for chicken or lamb tandoori dishes plus fluffy naan as well as lamb samosas, tikka masala and palak paneer. We like the chicken korma paired with basmati rice. The first-rate lamb vindaloo packs serious heat in a tomato-based tamarind curry sauce. Raita accompanies every meal to cool things off, or you can refresh yourself with an icy bottle of Taj Mahal beer. Service is still as friendly as when Sue was around.
