Hakkasan Restaurant Review:
Situated in the former Studio 54 space, this massive 80,000-square-foot complex houses the restaurant on the first level, topped by private dining rooms and the Ling Ling Lounge on the second, and nightclub on the third, fourth and fifth floors. You enter through a narrow corridor amid ambient sounds and scents. Menu items include A-5 Wagyu scallion pancake with sweet cilantro soy and chili aioli; crispy Guangdong whole lobster with crispy garlic and black bean chili soy; and 32 oz aged bone-in ribeye with black garlic steak sauce. Among the popular dishes are the vegan dim sum basket with wild mushroom and truffle, edamame jade, crystal vegetable and pea shoot; roasted Chilean seabass with bumble bee honey; crispy duck salad with pomelo, pine nuts and shallots; and jasmine smoked short rib with sweet glaze and pickled lotus root. A fresh lineup of cocktail creations includes Han Dynasty with Old Forrester Bourbon whiskey, plum wine, grapefruit bitters and hickory smoke; and Heart & Seoul with Absolut Elyx vodka, soju, Luxardo Maraschino, cold pressed lime, pineapple and raspberry. The menu is complemented by a large collection of saké, craft beer, wine and spirits sourced from all over the globe.
