Hana Restaurant Review:
Long before the influx of Japanese cuisine to New Orleans and prior to sushi becoming trendy, Hana was already a local destination. Situated in the extreme uptown part of the city that has become a go-to point for culinary adventurers, Hana occupies a folksy frame cottage and has a pristine, split-level dining room. Reliably fresh and assertively seasoned sushi and sashimi, turned out by three nimble-fingered chefs, draw a regular clientele. Fans come for the fine selection of cooked rolls, which are served in both full and half portions. The live fish display is intriguing. In a hurry? Hana will produce your order in mere minutes. A limited selection of wine and saké is available, and green tea ice cream is among standard desserts.
