There is a heavy Celtic influence in this pub, and often, three generations of women serving behind the bar or at the tables. The family atmosphere is carried to every corner as owners Bob and Pat Packer decided to move their Scottish menu and love for music to Florida. Numerous Celtic bands and singers stop to perform here; a weekly schedule of events is on the pub’s web site. It’s decorated with photos and memorabilia from home and from performers who have played there. But you don’t have to be a fan of Celtic music to enjoy the limited but creative sandwich board of cheese, beef or ham or the handful of traditional pub favorites: ploughman’s lunch, shepherd’s pie (spiced chopped beef topped with whipped potatoes and served with lettuce, tomato and a bread wedge) or pork pie. Be sure to try the Cornish pasty---a traditional Cornwall dish, a crescent-shaped pie with beef, potatoes and carrots.
