Havana Jax Cafe
A muy caliente spot to celebrate Cuban cuisine and get to the bottom of an icy mojito.
Havana Jax Cafe Restaurant Review:
The strip-mall location belies an interior of brightly painted walls that showcase old Havana photographs and island-themed paintings capturing the mystique of Cuba’s “Golden Era.” The casual dining room is given over to a Cuban fusion buffet at lunchtime. At dinner, the Havana Jax platter provides a number of traditional temptations: tamale, tostones, yucca frita and pork chicharrones served with a mojo sauce that may be a bit too salty for some. As for entrées, enjoy the boliche asado --- slices of round eye beefsteak, stuffed with Spanish sausage, marinated and cooked with a spicy sauce. After dinner, have a Havana Mama drink while chilling out on one of the leather sofas that fill the lively bar located opposite the dining room. Additionally, there's a weekly salsa night where you can take lessons or strut your stuff.
