Hemingway’s Restaurant Review:

Hemingway’s is one of the more intimate spaces at the expansive Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, tucked away at the back of the resort, with pretty views out tall windows of the pool and Lake Windsong. Four small dining rooms are softly lit and decorated with old photos of Ernest Hemingway, an avid fisherman and one of Key West’s most notable residents. This is the sort of place where devoted locals head for casual gatherings, and know the servers by name. Act like a regular and sip the signature Papa Doble (rumored to be Hemingway’s favorite rum cocktail) while you peruse the menu. The kitchen dishes out a seafood-heavy menu with options such as scallops with roasted fennel, Florida rock shrimp chowder, mangrove snapper and jumbo lump crab cake. The fish is tasty, but don’t discount the New York strip or filet mignon if you’re in the mood for red meat. A wine match is suggested with many entrées.
