Himalayan Kitchen Restaurant Review:

This charming spot in restaurant-rich Kaimuki has found a willing audience for its Nepalese-style food. Dishes include the momos, Nepalese dumplings (available vegetarian or with chicken) served with a cilantro-garlic sauce; aloo tama, which is set apart from Indian curries by the use of bamboo shoots; and for those who prefer bold flavors (not really common in Nepalese cuisine), we suggest the Everest choeela, a salad made with tandoor chicken and tossed with onions, green peppers, chilies and lemon. The menu also features familiar Indian curries, breads and rice dishes. One of the inevitable oddities of many ethnic restaurants in Hawaii is the effort to fuse dishes, and Himalayan Kitchen is no exception, as witnessed by the appearance of pineapple in some dishes. This digression aside, the food is interesting and the service is solid. There is no bar, so you may opt to bring along a bottle of wine or a few beers to enjoy with your meal.
