Hockeytown Cafe Restaurant Review:
This downtown Detroit restaurant with a gigantic puck on its roof doubles as a shrine to the Detroit Red Wings. From uniforms, photos and equipment to trivia games, this place is a wall-to-wall experience. The menu includes Cajun shrimp pasta, barbecue baby-back ribs and a corned beef Reuben as well as the Hockeytown burger --- a half-pound of beef topped with a choice of American, cheddar, Swiss or provolone cheeses. For a different burger taste, try the Michigan Cherry Burger, a house patty anointed with Traverse City cherries and Boursin cheese. The menu also features smoked Gouda mac ‘n’ cheese bites and a Philly cheesesteak pizza. The 40 bottled beers and a selection of hard ciders and root beers are available to toast the winning team. Hockeytown Cafe's third floor, known as The Roof, offers both indoor and outdoor seating areas, along with panoramic views of the Foxtown area and Comerica Park.
