My Humble House Restaurant Review:
It’s easy to forget you’re in a shopping mall in this ambitious and very “un-humble” house---a glorious light-filled atrium with a bamboo grove and decorative petal-filled pool. The Singapore-based Tung Lok group has a successful formula with 20-plus restaurants around Asia and counting. The Hunan food incorporates some Western cooking styles and influences, such as in the crispy prawns with wasabi mayonnaise, hunks of beef and lamb, and seafood soup. The wine list is fairly standard, with an abundance of European wines.
