Hutong has opened in the space long-occupied by Betelnut on Union Street. The same owners and chef are behind this restaurant, named for small alleys in Beijing, often concealing tiny, unmarked eateries offering savory, traditional food. Chef Alexander Ong's menu features an upscale, modern focus on such food, as well as small plates of updated street fare from across Southeast Asia, including his native Malaysia. Cocktails favor clean, contemporary flavors.
