India Clay Oven Restaurant Review:
Painted murals grace the walls, like the beautiful rendition of the Golden Temple at the restaurant's entrance. Touches of gold and dark wood contribute to the sophistication. As the name suggests, many dishes are prepared in the clay oven, or tandoor. Succulent minced lamb or chicken breast are charred to perfection and arrive at the table on a bed of onions sizzling on a piping hot metal platter. Naan, a pizza crust-like leavened bread also hails from the tandoor. These are delicious plain, but can also be stuffed with paneer cheese, green onions and garlic. Curries round out the menu, from the spicy Punjabi tomato-style to milder cream-based versions. The friendly staff is very accommodating when it comes to the spice-heat preferences of diners, and will adjust dishes to suit.
