Owner Sotiris Karamouzis’s Upper East Side restaurant offers a standout rendition of skordalia (the lusty garlic and potato purée best scooped with crisp zucchini chips). In fact, Ithaka is quite proficient at most Greek gustatory treats. The UES taverna excels at the dips and spreads that can sate the diner long before it’s time for an entrée. But save room for dishes like lamb baked in a clay pot, chicken souvlaki, and charbroiled salmon steak.
