itsu Restaurant Review:

This bright corner site is the ultimate in casual dining; eat, anytime of the day, as much or as little as you like with each dish priced from £3.75 to £6.45 depending on ingredients. The room is bright white with stainless steel providing the relief and large plate glass windows. Conveyor belt sushi passes in front of your eyes. It's a public display of excess or frugality, depending on your approach. This is Japanese with attitude, with dishes like salmon sashimi, part seared and thinly sliced, and cut into thick squares. Eel roll and seared tuna, spinach in soy and sesame, and avocado partnered with fish eggs and marinated beetroot. The chef rightly concentrates on first-rate ingredients and does as little as possible to them while still managing to transform the individual flavours into a whole. Dessert seems somewhat unnecessary, but mini versions of custards and puddings provide the sweet finale should you want one. The wine list is cursory; service non-existent given you help yourself.
