About the restaurant: If you're seeking classic, retro-style fine dining, Jake’s Grill fits the requirement. While now part of the McCormick & Schmick’s corporate family, the vintage dining room, built in 1909, retains its beauty and character. It occupies the full first floor of the Sentinel hotel, with plenty of private areas, hideaways, and desirable spots for romantic diners and large noisy parties.

Food & Drinks: The menu mirrors the setting by offering steaks or fresh seafood such as halibut, salmon and oysters, all prepared traditionally, without skimping on butter or cream. Vegetables and sides, and perhaps a generous mound of garlic mashed potatoes, round out the plate. The daily Blue Plate Special is always a good value, offering items such as paella, flank steak salad, and panko-griddled calamari steak. Save room for dessert, especially the vanilla-rich crème brûlée. The bar offers a wide choice of fine spirits and wines.
