It’s worth venturing off to this nondescript shopping center to savor the cooking of chef Rick Farmer, a hometown culinary wizard who handles fish and meat with equal deliberation. The warm bistro ambience inside is a complete contrast to the exterior, and also offers efficient, considerate service. Farmer’s smoked trout ravioli with caviar and marjoram is a standout appetizer, but roasted oysters, horseradish-encrusted grouper and pecan barbecued rack of lamb are also topnotch. There is also a menu of small plates including lobster agnolotti, dried figs with goat cheese, and wild mushroom risotto for those who want to try more dishes. The trim wine list includes choices that match well with the food.
