Jimbo specializes in udon, the round, cream-colored noodles that are a staple in many Japanese households. Made fresh daily, the eatery’s udon has a delightful al dente bounce. Enjoy the noodles with the traditional dashi (soy-ginger broth) or with golden curry sauce thick with onions and chicken bits. Combos are also available if you'd like a variety of dishes; we particularly enjoy the shrimp tempura, chicken katsu and pork kakuni don. The small selection of desserts includes green tea ice cream topped with sweetened adzuki beans. The restaurant is quite small, so arrive early, sign in on a clipboard, and then wait on the sidewalk for your turn to occupy one of the 30 seats.
