Joël Robuchon Monte Carlo Restaurant Review:
WE ARE SAD TO ANNOUNCE THAT CHEF JOEL ROBUCHON PASSED AWAY AUGUST 6, 2018. READ ANDRE GAYOT'S TRIBUTE TO THE CHEF OF THE CENTURY.
At Joël Robuchon Monte Carlo, the premise is straightforward–showcase spectacular, fresh ingredients with the help of an extraordinary and innovative chef. Although seemingly simple, the dishes offered tend to result in a culinary explosion of taste, texture and aroma. A Mediterranean-themed menu is presented by chef de cuisine Christophe Cussac (formerly of La Réserve) in a luxurious but unpretentious setting, offering appetizers like tomato gazpacho, foie gras and smoked salmon, entrées such as filet of beef with pepper sauce and veal with black olives and tempting chocolate and caramel bonbons for dessert. The wine list offers both unique and classic bottles and despite the steep prices---a glass of Condrieu for 24€---the restaurant’s sommelier will assist in picking the perfect wine to match your meal. Prices for both food and wine equally match the quality and preparation of the exquisite ingredients and nearly impeccable service at this elegant establishment.
