Johnny’s Kabob Restaurant Review:
A metaphor for America’s melting pot: a Persian eatery with terrific kebabs is owned and cooked for by a Salvadoran couple. Imagine a full-scale Persian meal with all the trimmings --- that is, the basket of breads and the yogurt --- for less than $20. But what really makes this such a find relates as much to the sophistication of the food as the price. What you’ll enjoy are traditional dishes, such as the namesake kebabs, fesenjan (chicken in a richly scented walnut-pomegranate sauce), bademjan (beef or lamb and eggplant stew), and zereshk polow (chicken stew with barberries), all with delicate Persian-style rice.
