Journeyman Restaurant Review:
Journeyman takes guests on a culinary excursion with dinners comprising nine to 11 dishes, cooked on a wood-burning grill and with vegetarian options. With a menu that changes daily, each course is intricately prepared and delicately presented, using ingredients that were grown, foraged or harvested locally, so no experience is ever the same. Reservations are required for each dinner with seatings every half hour from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Complex plates range from seared duck breast and roasted lamb shoulder to raw razor clams and poached sea scallops. For beverage pairings, the wine list emphasizes natural and biodynamic wines, local beers, cocktails from backbar, and spirits including uncommon Scotches, rums and brandies. This is a special occasion restaurant, so book in advance.
